How do I access and grade student submissions in Turnitin?
With the updated method used for connecting Blackboard to Turnitin, the user interface has changed but the service retains the same features. The new connection method will allow for more seamless system updates in the future and offers an improved student submission process.
Blackboard’s Student Preview mode is not compatible with the new Turnitin tool.
Instructions to access the submissions
Instructors will now access the Assignment Inbox through the same link that students use to make submissions. Click the assignment link where you created the assignment, and it will take you to the assignment inbox to manage submissions and launch the feedback studio.
Instructions to initiate grading submissions
Option 1
Instructors can grade through the Feedback Studio in Turnitin by clicking on the submission title.
Option 2
Instructors can initiate grading from the Needs Grading area and the Full Grade Center.
If you use these methods, you may find that Turnitin has taken over the full window and you may need to browse back to your course via https://ualearn.blackboard.com .
