I can’t see my course at the beginning or at the end of the semester.

  • If you are a distance student, UA Online tech support sets the course to become available to students on the first day of class. The course will show in the “Upcoming” section of the Courses page.

  • Your instructor has NOT made the course available to students yet. Some instructors make courses available before classes start while others wait until the first day.

    • Contact your instructor to see if the course will use Blackboard and if the course has been made available to students.

  • Your instructor HAS made the course unavailable to students. Some instructors make courses unavailable to edit content at the beginning of the semester. Some instructors make the course unavailable to students at the end of the semester.

    • Contact your instructor to see if the course will use Blackboard and if the course has been made available to students.

I changed my schedule, but I don't see it in Blackboard.

  • You may have dropped/been dropped from the class or there is some other registration problem. In this case, contact the Registrar’s Office to see if you are enrolled in the course.

NOTE: If you dropped the course, your instructor cannot add you to Blackboard. You must re-enroll and allow the automated process to add you back to Blackboard.

  • Due to the high volume of add/drop at certain points in the semester, your enrollment in the course may be in the queue. Contact the Center for Instructional Technology for troubleshooting.

I am a TA for the Blackboard course.

NOTE: If you were enrolled in the course previously, the automated process has likely disabled you. You must have no previous enrollment in the course for your instructor to add you.
